More than £1million worth of contract wins for AV One Solutions as live events return with a bang

An Aberdeen audiovisual company has won a number of new contracts and invested in its operations as the demand for remote communication and live, in-person events continues to surge. .  The work relates to the audiovisual equipment sales and installation side of the business, resulting from companies upgrading video conferencing and collaborative working spaces to better accommodate hybrid working.

The firm has invested a five-figure sum in its Bridge of Don office with the creation of a new demonstration facility, a purpose-built space where customers will be able to view and test a range of audiovisual equipment, remote collaboration and digital solutions. The recent addition of Grant MacLean as Business Development Manager, brings the company’s workforce to 10 staff.

Established in 2016, AV One Solutions offers audiovisual equipment sales and installation, event services, maintenance and technical support to clients across Scotland and the UK.  It also installs audiovisual equipment and multichannel entertainment systems on offshore installations. A core part of the company’s business has been the rental of equipment for conferences, business events and award ceremonies. Confidence in the sector is high with event levels at their highest for years.

Managing Director, Graeme McGuire, believes online streaming of events will become a standard feature of all future events, allowing audiences to attend and participate remotely. He said: “Although the last two years were challenging, businesses of all sizes are investing in their audiovisual systems to enhance video conferencing facilities and remote collaborative working.  This offers staff greater flexibility and highlights how offices can be readily adapted to integrate new technologies, which are once again changing the way people work.

“Offices are not alone in embracing new technologies – we’ve recently worked with several tourist attractions to install different AV systems to help them tell compelling and interactive stories to visitors.

“The investments we’ve made in our own business and strengthening our team will support our continued growth in our sales and installation, offshore and events services.  The demonstration suite will allow clients to view and test the different technologies – looking at pictures and videos of equipment is great, but nothing beats seeing it in action first-hand to best understand it.

“Live business events – whether conferences, townhalls, presentations, exhibitions, dinners or award ceremonies – have been a cornerstone of our business since we launched, and like the  rest of the events industry, we’re excited to see their full return.  The past two years have underlined the importance of meeting face-to-face and the social benefits that brings, with live business events playing a crucial role.  Now they’ve fully resumed, we are seeing the inclusion of online streaming as standard, and are ready to support the varying needs of organisers.”

Based in Aberdeen, AV One Solutions provides audiovisual equipment sales and installation, maintenance and technical support, and event services to clients onshore and offshore.  In the offshore sector the company designs, supplies, and installs audiovisual and entertainment systems onboard oil and gas platforms and maritime vessels.  Since it was founded in 2016, AV One Solutions has developed a strong reputation within the audiovisual integration and events sector owing to its extensive range of rental audiovisual equipment for conferences, exhibitions, product launches and dinners.  The company currently employs 10 staff, including a technical team on hand to provide long-term support to clients.  More information on AV One Solutions can be found at www.av1solutions.com or by telephoning 01224 392476.
